    Default Johnson 5hp 4-stroke

Anyone know the weight of one of these. Been offered one by a friend but might be too heavy for my RIB.

    Thanks in advance.

You dont say what year !

Current 4/6hp Evinrudes are 26/25kg. Id guess that'll be the weight of a 5hp Johnson too. Longshaft models about 1 kg heavier

However you should be able to download an operators guide from http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/I...nds=ej&type=og

You will find the weights on the specifications page

You could of course always weigh it on the bathroom scales!

    Thanks for the info.

Not sure what the year is but guessing its mid to early 2000s. Engine is currently stored in a garage a couple of hours drive away and I didn't want to send him on a wild goose chase to go and get it only to find when he does that its too heavy (which is what I'm expecting).
