Anybody mind if I arrange a raffle for Saturday night? Could be a bit of a laugh and raise a bit for a chosen charity.

Depends what you are putting up as a prize!

A night out with you might not get many punters, whereas Helen ..... no I wont say that.

If every boat put in a bottle of wine, not cheap vinegar, it would make a nice prize.

I did one last year at a Christmas event. The prizes would be politely described as cheap and chearful, and sold tickets for 10p each, still raised about£50.00
Would people like to donate some old rubbish they don't want?, or a bottle of wine, anything really.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll see what I can dig out. I like the "cheap and cheerful" approach, but I think I can manage a bit better than an old spanner!

    Hi Colin,

I'm surprised you find time for this, being so freshly wed and all. I'll think of something. You already have my spare French flag.

I agree; I think we should make it No-Wine. If everybody brought one and assuming every boat wins one prize, there would be nothing to gain !

I will dig out something boaty.
