Well, since people are moaning about what a terrible year it's been, I thought I'd post a picture from this year somewhere in these isles of ours. It's a toughie I'll give you that, but at least it shows that we did have some lovelly days this year.
ETA: we had full sail up at this point and were making way at about 5-6kt so a most pleasant afternoon

Actually I had 8kt through the water last year but it wasn't in conditions like this pic. This pic was not in my boat though so good spot

Middle of the Irish Sea
Well, probably closer to Ireland than Great Britain in the pic. The boat is a carbon fibre race boat called Juno III so 5-6kt was rather slow for her!
