Re: Glen Rosa Details
Blimey Jim, that's a boatful - and all those hormones too !!
I was planning a similar route to yourself, but may go via Cherbourg to keep out of your way !!
Seriously, Moondance will be myself and Karen, and maybe son Jon (18). Possibly room for another couple if anybody is boatless.
Thursday afternoon, evening - Hythe to Lymington
Friday night - Weymuff or Poole depending on weather
Saturday night - Weymuff
Sunday - back to Lymington, Yarmouth or Hythe depending on weather
Monday - back to Hythe asap to get home at a reasonable time.

Re: Glen Rosa Details
Iditarod, 21 foot. Will make passage plans nearer time, depending on weather. Probably Friday pm. Takes me under 2 hours from Lymington so can be fairly flexible
Probably just me solo as SWMBO and kids will be in Washington

Re: I am still manipulating...
Apart from the fact that the outdrive, windlass and gunwhales are back here in my workshop Phaeton may still make the trip (in company with Brendan prob) or I may drive over.
I have aquired a small oil radiator and a bit of wire to overcome the 'I am not going to stay on that boat ever again it's freezing' objection but am unable to get as far as actually discussing this trip!

Are you goning to sell tickets for when you do........or do as I do. Just say "Its a surprise dear. We'll be there soon".....normally works for me.

Re: I am still manipulating...
I get 'where are we going' long before we pass Brownsea let alone as we clear St Albans!
This time of year I think Jo will take kids and car whilst I sit tight in Iditirods calm wake paddling furiously......

Re: Attendees
Good, I'm glad it's coming together.
Talulah will be
Brian, Bea, Edward, Pete, Paula, Hannah (10 years old and "some sailor" apparently) maybe more - will advise.
Still haven't got 2004 tides (help anyone??) so not sure on timing. If favourable west going from Gosport on Friday a.m. would hope to arrive Weymouth in the evening. Will let you know more when sorted.
Cheers
Brian
PS are we going to repeat Cherbourg in October???

Tides - this might help
Stalbans E-going starts HW Dover 0500 W-going -0020
Needles E-going starts HW Dover 0530. W-going -0030
HWs Dover (GMT)
09th April 0108 6.9 1328 6.7
10th April 0152 6.7 1415 6.3
11th April 0244 6.2 1514 5.9
12th April 0353 5.7 1632 5.5
7.0 is the biggest tide in that cycle, on 8th April, so easter is just coming off of springs.
