    To be serious, if it's a nuisance, it's a nuisance and the racing sailors will have to adapt accordingly if so. Not convinced the wash from racing dinghies, spectacular though it might look on a photo, is really much of a nuisance though but if and when the Directive comes into force make a complaint if you feel it is

    A generalisation.
    It seems to me that a fair number of wash creators are based at Essex Marina.
    So is it the case that they don't mind dishing it out but don't like receiving the inconvenience.

    Pretty much every time I have overnighted on a mooring off Burnham I have been woken up by the not inconsiderable wash of the angling boats headed out for a day's fishing.

    I suspect most of them are based there
