    Pip won the line honours trophy last year with an all girl crew in the same J120 she's sailing now. Slipped to second on IRC.

    Sorry, I meant in terms of using a trailer rather than needing a four hundred mile delivery trip

    Having now read the rules rather than just chatting to others, it's clear there is scope for doing it on a smaller boat. The legs are of course very long for an Impala but then nobody does this race because they want an easy time of it.

    Lots of First Class 8s have done it and Hunter Deltas, etc.

    With an Impala you need to pray for lighter airs and really sort out your rowing arrangement.
