Default Who thought this was a good idea I wonder?

    Putting this at LIBS.

That's really going to make the shiny chaps from the city want to go sailing.

Good Lord. A normal person doing realistic things in a cheap boat. The "Have Yachts" will need a lie down.

The thought of someone in the blazer and slippers on their Sunseeker Predetor heating his boat with night lights and plant pots fills me with delight.

Do you think his first money-saving tip will be "keep your boat on a drying swinging mooring.

I doubt it, he has a decent trailer!

IMHO, more fun than 3/4 of the stuff I've seen at LIBS.

Bit over the top with the paint daubing and police notices, sort of taints the message and makes him an authority enemy, which doesn't help low cost cruisers.

That is, I think, a picture of Marlin at the Southampton Show in 2016. The PBO editorial team were fitting her with a new set of windows at the show, so she looked a bit dishevelled. I had the pleasure of a chat with Mr Selby, who is a thoroughly nice chap. I enjoy his column in the mag as well.

I agree with both points, promoting how much fun is to be had with smaller boats ( even though I'm not a Sailfish 18 fan for good reasons ) and the police stickers give a completely wrong message the chequebook warriors would love.
