Mrs Chalk and I left Woodbridge on Sunday at about 1130 and hit good fog coming up to Felixstowe Ferry. Didn't dare go over the bar. Visibility was about 75m. Terrifying! Bumped into a buoy just north of Horse Sand and just had to wait for Monday's midday tide. 3 hours after HW on Sunday, ie too tricky (for us) to cross the bar, the fog cleared and we had a lovely time not thinking about the Monday work we'd miss. As an extra bonus had the pleasure of meeting John White in the morning who came to say hello. A true gentleman.
