Quick update, the new extinguisher is fully installed and I've retested the SeaFire system and all is working perfectly (thanks to Hurricane's tip above to test by disconnecting the cable that comes from the extinguisher - there's a connector that pulls apart).

I've got a new (eBay 20 old stock) dashboard head unit that I will put in when I'm next on board (the switch on the old one is a little corroded).

Interestingly, the new cylinder is HFC227 whereas the old one was FM200.

    Same stuff.
The former is the chemical code for heptafluoropropane, the latter is the Dupont trade name for it.

    Thanks, makes sense.
