    Ok... Gonna set a tight (25m) anchor alarm. The bouys are in a row, so we can use them as a transit if alarm goes off.

    The guy next to us didn't seem to care, but he's not sleeping on it... But then the bouy behind it doesn't look too healthy...

    That was/is a concern I thought about but if it's not touching bottom it should always be below the bow as you move round the buoy in theory.

    Yea anchor alarm sounds like a better idea to me.

    Just another tip, looking at your top pic, not that you're asking for them or I think you'll need to get out of the bunk to do it now but use two lines to the top of the buoy. One from the port fairlead through the shackle and back to the port fairlead and another from the starboard doing the same, obviously cleated off whereever. Stops chafe and also gives you a backup.

    Two lines now attached. Good job too... Could see where chaffing was starting, so another 36 hours could have been dodgy.
