Default Volvo Pentagon 2003T Raw Water Pump

I am keen to acquire a decent replacement for this which I understand is not the same as the non-turbo version.

How bad can it be? Can be refurbed. Well, I did it on my 2003 without incident.

Agreed, but there was a rush on!
Incidentally, how much welly is required to drive out the shaft once the pin has been removed from the engine end? I did not expect it to be so stiff and fear that the bearings may be damaged. did you just replace the water seal behind the impeller?

Not too much and yes I "just" replaced the bearing. Drain the engine oil.

Maybe there is some other problem if it is hard to remove.

Once removed I used a bit of wood between the hammer and the end of the shaft whilst encouraging it all to come apart.

Thanks for that link. I have actually sourced a fresh pump via a VP agent, so the old one will become a spare once I refurbish it.
