    Signed.

The original plan was a much better idea. I'd trust Waveney council about as far as I could throw them.

It would be a real shame for Southwold harbour to lose it's unique character.

Under the Localism Act, a Council has a duty to consult.
Also, a community can reauire a Council to hand over the running of various services if they follow the protocol.

Seems thus would be a fantastic opportunity to use the Act to take over the operation of the harbour.

PS would love to keep Tomahawk there, but as always, lack of space.

I will be very willing to sign when I can figure out why the CHANGE website is all in Spanish?
I am not too fluent in this language so am finding it tricky to understand or change to English.
OK finally signed. Up to 556.

Southwold harbour is a wonderful place that should be in the hands of local stakeholders not a faceless council offshoot whose principal aim will be to generate revenue.

Just imagine the eventual development of "nice" harbourside houses/flats ruining what is one of the most unique places you can visit by boat in the UK.

Signed and best wishes for the petition.

You only have to look at the waterfronts at Brightlingsea, Wivenhoe, Rowhedge, Burnham, or Faversham to see what might happen if private developers were to get their hands on even a small part of Southwold Harbour.

The reason folk go to places like Southwold Harbour, by water or land, is that they are largely undeveloped destinations, hence the attraction.

Let's keep it that way and get as many people as possible.to sign this petition.
