Default Stainless sheet to ply glue

Galley top - formica looks tatty and has not borne wear and tear too well. (Edit - the formica will be removed - in fact is in the process of self removal! Stainless sheet straight onto the ply).

What is the best surface glue please?

    And Happy Christmas to all!

You're putting the stainless over the formica? If so scuff the formica and use SABA, Skia or similar combed over to give an even spread paying attention to the edges and corners.

Did my oven surround like this with 1.2mm polished stainless and it went to flat as a flat thing.

Either a contact adhesive or a polyurethane as suggested above. Either will work but contact will cure quicker.

I v'e used Sika to glue stainless steel chafe plates to my painted hull lots of times and they are still holding OK.

Just roughen the back of the stainless with a rough file to gibe a better glue grip

    Numurus different chafe plated.

On one that was a section of tube around a slight curve did start to like at the ends so I just added a screw tapped into the gunnel to take the bend strain.

All the ones on straight sections were file.

When I said lots of times I meant lots of chafe plates.

Why on earth does one need "lots of chafe plates" on a yacht?
I can understand one at the bow for the anchor & one perhaps for the anchor cable on the deck. I have one where I rest the corner of the fuel can when I fill the tank, but apart from that I have all the lines arranged to stop any friction. ( As a control freak I have an option of 26 control lines to the cockpit) If lines rub then that is friction - is it not? I think that if I needed any, I might start by asking Why?

Not a criticism- it is your boat after all, but it did get me wondering
