    Success!

    Worked like a charm. Stayed on all the time. The only annoying bit is when you throttle down to idle it will alarm. You only have to press the button on the side to stop it so not the end of the world.

    The boost at 3100 revs sat at 1 bar for the engine with a new turbo and 0.7 bar for the engine with a rebuilt turbo.

    Another thing to worry about!

    Sensor Temperatures both sat at 45c

    Good work!

    The pressure difference between the two turbos might just be inaccuracies in the sensors. Have you tried awapping the sensors over to see if the boost values change?

    Did you see a performance difference between engines in any way before before the guages said so?

    Something doesn't gel with me. In the book of words is states the following figures:

    RPM KPA Bar

    1800 115 1.1
    2500 145 1.45
    3800 175 1.75

    Atmosphere temp difference? There’s a conversion graph somewhere. The engine bay temp was 44c ish at a guess as that’s what the sensor temp reading was.

    I’m sure they are not as acurrate as your proper gauges will be.

    I forgot to ask about that as well when I saw your pic FARSCO, but I don't know volvos and I already suggested checking oil pressure on a manual Volvo box yesterday so don't want to make more silly suggestions
    FWIW (not much) my IVECOs on boost are stuck at 2bar (for a petrolhead that's an impressive value and the main reason for fitting boost gauges tbh...) the 1bar looks little.
    Now, if at 1800rpm you see .5bar and at 3800rpm you see .8-0.9 then the atmo pressure thing may be right. If not, there's something else to search, although tbh these gauges are mainly tools to check discrepancies and issue early warnings that something's not right, nothing more imho.
