    Default Eberspacher Hydronic

I have an Eberspacher Hydronic heater on my boat for the past two years. Recently it stopped firing up, I dismantled it and reassembled it started up ok. I did not repair anything just measured voltages. After a day it refused to fire up again. This time I just tapped the housing with a spanner and it fired up. I have ordered a new controller but I don't think that that is the problem. Has anyone experienced this problem.

I had a car with a starter motor like that. I used a hammer, but same thing Something is sticking. I don't know enough about how they work but the only thing I can think of that might stick is the inbuilt water pump. Maybe strip it down again and look for wear.

You may have partially cleared the small filter on the inlet to the pump when you dismantled the unit. It clogs fairly easily unless you have another filter upstream and external to the hydronic. Good luck.
