    Default Sikaflex black caulk??

    Hi guys,
    Friend has some touching up to do on his teak platform.

    What number Sikeflex Caulk (BLACK) is he looking for? I know it was mentioned here previously.... JFM??

    Only comes in large tubes..and warn him.. it sticks to absolutely anything it touches. Teak,hands,clothes,seats,grp,shoes !!!
    I have used Sika and JFMs preferred alternative, though on my minor repairs I couldn't really tell a difference.The Sika is alot easier to find.

    Yes but I also read #3 which stated it only came in large quantities, hence my link to the 300ml tube.

    Thanks for the info but you may have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed this morning

    TDS440 is many times better product than Sika.
    JFMs suggestion was TDS, I've used it, it's fine.
    Friends have used Sika some are good some have problems with it becoming sticky after some years and generally being a pain.

    Ok..I was thinking that the general marine silicon also comes in small tubes (£6), whereas 300ml is going to go a long way for a small repair, and it doesn't keep !
