    Default Sealine F37, maybe

We love our Broom 345 but some health issues mean we are struggling with the ladder at the the stern.
Thinking about a change now to something with steps outside and more on one level inside.
An option could be a Sealine F37. All opinions welcomed.......
Were there any significant changes over the years in production?
    Anything to look out for?

I believe the early models were fitted with plastic fuel tanks which had a tendency to cause problems. Some of them were fixed by Sealine but not all. The early models have a similar performance to the F36 (which I own) with KAD43’s or 44’s. If you end up with the 44’s or the 300’s which were available very soon after release and are of a similar ilk then make sure that they have had the tappets checked every 200 hours at least.

We love our F36 and it gives much confidence in seas for me and the family. I’m sure there will be other bits I’ve forgotten and sure someone else will be along to fill in the gaps.

    Good luck with the search.

Why not forget the ladder and go for an S37. If you can find one with KAD43ís (no electronics, no 4 valves per cylinder) then you have a reliable easy to maintain package.

No ladders to contend with either ...

Sneds of this forum purchased an F37 a couple of years ago. He will give you first hand insight into the boat and ownership of such.

I think it shows the compromise made to have such a nice roomy and flat interior. Having just spent all winter being a contortionist trying to get work done on far ends of the engines on the transom shield I can appreciate that having engines in tight spaces makes for very (with a capital V) difficult time of it if you are doing your own servicing and in this instance with the F37 what to look out for. Shiny engine tops dont necessarily make for shiny engine bottoms and the inability to lift the engines out makes for expensive repairs if you are not observant. Lovely boat though. Could fancy one myslef.

But an S37 (the boat discussed in the tread linked to) and a F37 (which was the boat mentioned by the OP in this thread) are quite different beasties.

    Shafts vs out drives
    Fly vs sports boat

I suppose they are both grp to be fair...

have a look at a rodman 38 - similar money, bit bigger overall. Saloon/cockpit all one level, shallow stairs to flybridge.
engine access excellent. and Shaft drive :-)
Galley not massive (go to pub) but main bathroom very good for size of boat.
