Default HMRC Temporary Import / Admission to the UK

I need to bring Play d'eau to the UK for some engine work in June.

Anyone know the process to follow for HMRC Temporary Import / Admission so VAT is not charged?

Piers, please correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you bring Play d¡Eau back a few years ago for a major overhaul? If so, what was the procedure then?

The company doing the work arranged the TI through an accounts company. It was expensive but in comparison to the work, it was OK. This time, the works are not so expensive so I was going to try to do it myself.

Ok Piers, sorry I can’t help but please let us know how you get on.

I’m sure you’ll have asked this, but why won’t the engineers/mechanics travel to Guernsey?

Hi LJS. They will travel to Guernsey, but if I'm in the UK access to unforeseen parts is far easier and quicker. Hence, it's economic time-wise to be in the UK for this work.
