    Default Gel Coat Alternative.

I've got a 10p sized missing chunk of gelcoat below the waterline where (I suspect) a well attached bit of coral worm has pulled it off when it was pressure washed.

    Fibreglass fibres are visible.

I could buy some nice colour matched gel coat, but since it's out of sight is there something else I can use to seal it up before I antifoul over it? (As in something cheap or something I might have just lying around!)

Any two-pack epoxy glue - eg Araldite, then sanded level.

Ta, pretty sure I've got Araldite in my Garage.

If not, Toolstation do an equivalent for very little money. Worth keeping some on the boat.

I have done a satisfactory similar repair with Lidl's quick set epoxy - only 1.99 if you catch it in stock!

What not use gel coat filler? It's fairly cheap and worth keeping a tube on your boat when you've done the current repair.
