Yes she must , a lovley site as she sails past
But one has to ask where the money generated by ticket sales go , as a vast majority of workers are volunteers , yes upkeep etc, but as with a lot of charities better housekeeping of accounts and spending might have helped
The boiler problem was ongoing over the years , and we prepare for a rainy day, by keeping money aside for such maintenance

Is it an omen that the photo chosen is one where she is going full astern?

Josephine and I saw her a couple of years back, maybe 3 years. We admired her tied to the quay at Greenock and watched her sail 'doon the watter' It was a glorious late spring day, an example of the Clyde at its best. She was a stunning sight - and superficially beautiful (not knowing her boilers were rotting). We sadly had not allowed time to be on board.

Can’t read the article as “the Scotsman” won’t let you do so if you have an adblocker.

Let’s hope the appeal is publicised better than that.

I remember doing penarth to ilfracombe on her as a treat as a kid. Fond memories.

And when you see her sailing she’s a sight to behold.

Let’s hope she can be kept sailing. Parked up as a museum isn’t good enough.

I seem to remember the scottish couple who won 161 million a few years back had donated a lot to the Waverley? Dont suppose they will get any more from them after the divorce.... lawyers will have done alright.

I'm sure they will have plenty left.
