Default Anchoring in Port Soller, Mallorca

Iím out to Mallorca next week and am planning a trip round to Port Soller from Portals, hoping to anchor up for 1 or 2 nights.
Has anyone any recent experience of anchoring there, given new posiedonia laws?
    Thanks

They have a good buoy field as well

What is your LOA? PortsIB have a quay there which is good value

You can anchor in the bay - I never have done.

Bear in mind if the weather goes south on that coast there is no where to go ! Not an issue per secby do check the next few days forecast. Marina is expensive if not the ports ib. I am 17m and it was about 300 a night.

Thanks for reply. LOA 22m. Buoy field sounds a good option. Do you know who runs the buoy field, assuming you can book!

Thanks re weather. Noted and will be keeping a close look! I think Iíll struggle to get in marina and much prefer anchor or buoy. Cheers

Two yachts from Sant Carles were anchored in Soller on Tuesday (18th June) night.
If you are interested, I could email them for a report.

OK - I will email them.
They are in Figuera at the moment so depends on the internet availability.
I think they are planning to head across to Menorca today though.
I will let you know their experiences in Soller this week.

BTW - AFAIK, there aren't buoys in Soller.

As most on here know, Calobra is one of my favourites but the weather has to be good.

The marina in Soller on the other hand is safe in all conditions.
