Just catching up on this thread - we will try to be there with our two pirates as well (age 7 and 10). Sounds like great fun!

Great weekend. Believe Full Circle organised it. Whatever happened to them?
Departed for other cruising grounds, snuck away under cover of night....there were several Pirate weekends always well attended.

    Good to hear from you.

Yes, the East Coast Pirates’ weekend was a popular event. As you see, it is proposed to hold one on 17th Aug.

To date take-up is limited but as I recall there was always a last minute rush.

Undoubtedly the high point of the social calendar of the ECF in it's time. I attended many, and also survived them. Heaven only knows how. Simply fabulous memories .

Paracetemol - at least that's what I used.

Remember the treasure hunt that PoH (aka Morgana at the time) buried. And I still have a clone of Clive's hair spray powered spud gun that I made. Since then it's been on many a scout camp and subsequently re-copied.

    Happy days...

Default Pirates at the W&FYC - Sat 20 July.

If anybody wants a practice run the Walton & Frinton Yacht Club is holding their Annual Open Day on Saturday 20 July and the theme this year is PIRATES.

Loads of fun for the whole family and as always the Walton Lifeboat will be in attendance and open to those who wish to see the inside of this state of the art vessel.

High water is at 1448 and 4.1m it is a big tide.

    Now confirmed attending.
3 or 4 big pirates and 2 smaller ones.
2 big pirates may well have to sleep on the beach due to lack of space on Sirenia.
We will bring our big dinghy that can be used as a ship / Tichmarsh to Beach ferry.
We will have the Spud Cannon aboard!

    How many can bring firewood?
