As said before, because Memsahib will be recovering from a hip replacement, we will not be able to attend but more than happy to clear it with the W&FYC and act as the point-of-contact and, if required, a pilot from the Spit NCB, up Foundry Reach and into the Walton Yacht Basin.

Saturday 17th Aug is Walton Carnival Day but unless folk are coming by road, that should not cause any conflictions!

(In the past, visiting the Pirate BBQ by road has happened - the final leg in friends’ dinghies).

    High Water:- (all 'big' tides).
    Fri 16th Aug 1320/3.91m.
    Sat 17th Aug 1351/3.95m.
Sun 18th Aug 1420/3.98 (Spring Tide).
    Mon 19th Aug 1451/3.97.

    Outline plan:-
    Sat PM Arrive Stone Point.
Sat Evening (Time TBD) Pirate BBQ - Dress optional,
Sun AM clear up and disperse.

An alternative plan (for those who have the time):-

Fri 16th Aug Arrive to enter the Walton Yacht Basin (1220 - 1420 best to arrive before HW).

An alternative would be to anchor in Hamford Water or pick up a buoy in the Walton Channel.

The benefits of the Yacht Basin are ease of access to revittle at M&S, Aldi, Tesco, Coop (etc.) and for the kids, the delights of Walton (pier and beaches). Then there are the 5 pubs restaurants and the W&FYC.

Sat 17th Aug (about 1330) Depart The Basin for Stone Point.

Of course, it would be possible to go to the Pirates Do first and then lay-over in the Basin on Sunday evening or longer. (Arrive Sun 18th Aug 1400ish).

This same itinerary could be run on weekends (during the school summer holidays) :-

    Fri 19th July - Mon 22 Jul HW Sat 20th 1445/3.88m.
    Fri 02nd Aug - Mon 05 Aug (HW Sat 03rd 1418/4.12m.
    Fri 30th Aug - Mon 02 Sep (HW Sat 31st Aug 1312/4.14m.

Of course it would able to run the event later in the year but by then the evenings will be drawing in.

The LOA group is a closed group. I posted it there as I'm one of the admins, and I've mentioned that it's the same event as the one listed here.

    Sorry for any confusion!

    Remember it well.

Great weekend. Believe Full Circle organised it. Whatever happened to them?

    Dola, I have PMd you.

As the LOA Is a closed site, rather than the East Coast Pirates, which was open to all, this will become an LOA Event.

As Iím not in in the LOA, will you, rather than me, become the Point-Of-Contact❓✔️
