    Default Water Tank Float Sensor

I am trying to find one online but having little luck

I have a plastic fresh water tank and the sensor, which is screw in, has had the thread corroded away, hence leaking. Its 250mm long, not sure of the thread size, but hoping they are a standard fitting. Cant find anything online.

Does anyone have an ideas where to look for a replacement?

    Thank you

ASAP probably have the biggest range. Not sure what type you have but the Osculati ones do most fluids but not a screw in type. You need to match the resistance with the instrument head.

If you're in Portsmouth you can pick one up here..or mail order.

1 1/4 BSP is actually about 42mm across the male thread. The one I've linked to is the European as opposed to the US resistance which is the other way round and about 230 ohm down to zero.

They sell on eBay as AutoMarineElectrical.

Correction. US resistance is 240 down to 30 ohm whereas European is zero up to 190 ohm.

If on the other hand you did have a hole in the tank with five screw holes around it, there would have been an adapter to allow you to use the threaded senders.
