    Default Recommendations for electrician

Got a battery alarm when engine runs, checked what I could and replaced alternator so have decided I need a professional , boat is at Suffolk YH.

Does alarm go stop when engine is revved ?

If it’s a Volvo the module behind control panel sometimes craps out if it’s got damp

You sure belt is tight enough ?

    Just a few thoughts ...

It is a Volvo ;-) I've always had the alarm go off when starting then a burst of revs stopped it. Its now on all the time. I think belt is tight enough, alternator is certainly turning and rev counter is showing revs. Battery indicators show no increase in charge level when engine is on

Check the negative connections to the alternator/engine.
