    Doesn't seem worth the time quandry when I can replace them both for £50 and I have so much else to do

    I still have a skeg to try and build at some point, not to mention all the headling and a full rewire of jojo! But thx for the idea, it might get used at some future point for a different project.

    The runners on my Mirage 28 were tufnol material and badly scored making the hatch very stiff. I removed them and turned over exposing a pristine surface which made the hatch slide at a touch.

    Only thing to check is that the legs fit your boat. Often there are flat 'lands' under each one which you need to mate up with.
