Default Sunseeker Hawk 38 review - MBY

    Morning all,

Our video test of the Hawk 38 is live and, given the discussion it stirred on here, I thought it might be of interest.

    Cheers,

    Jack

Good review, thanks for the pointer.

Am I right in not having seen the throttleman releasing the levers upon take-off at 10:43?
If so, those engines must be very solid indeed!

Youtube is a funny place, btw.
Someone already dismissed the Hawk by calling the Beneteau a proper boat, instead.
Pretty much like saying that Dyson vacuum cleaners are not as good as a proper broom....

It's hard to say. That footage was supplied by Sunseeker so I can't say for certain who was driving and how they were driving the boat

Ah yes, the Wild West that is the YouTube comment section. Best avoided in my experience

Hmm, very nice but more than 3 times the price of an Axopar 37 which is only 8 or 9 knots slower with smaller engines, similarly great sea keeping and has at least one cabin with option for a second.

I like it and Hugo’s summed it up well at the end .
There’s marketing room for S/Skr to return to performance as well as push on with the current range of floating apartments.
Look fwd to a 50 and 60 return of today’s versions of the super hawk ?

    YouTube Comment:
“A very ugly boat. Why isn't Jack doing all your videos, he is far better at presenting than Hugo.”

I like it also and agree that it's good to see them back into performance boats but £600k....that's just ludicrous. Even the Brabus Shadow version of the Axopar 37 with the same 400R engines is about £350k I think.

I know it's not an exact like-for-like comparison, but the Princess R35 is £750k.....ok it's made out of carbon fibre but still....

Quite right Jack ... I think the guy who commented about the proper boat alongside the pointless Sunseeker has a sense of humour ... unlike some on here!
