Default "Is there anywhere to land"

Gently motoring westwd's towards Harris past the N end of the Shiant Isles when a smallish RIB with two guys zoomed over and asked just that.

No sign if any navigation equipment, and they didn't seem to have any idea of where to go, or what they were doing.

They'd starve to death on the Shiants, I imagine, unless the rats got them before then.

Rats have been destroyed, so they'd have to eat each other.

Bet they had a road atlas onboard.

I scarcely know the Shiants are, except from reading Adam Nicholson and watching 'The Last Seabird Summer' last week, the second part shortly. Well worth seeing, though it may be a repeat for some. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b072rnjc

Were they named by a Frenchman?

OK, he'd have spelled it Ch rather than SH, but...
