    Default Diesel pump kad32

    Hi. Fresh from shelling out for a new circulation pump I have a new problem..oh joy😖
    Diesel pump is leaking fuel out of the top..the part where the throttle turns. Looks like a plastic washer or something...
    They are a can of worms I really don't want to get into so my questions are;
    Can it just be unbolted and taken off?
    If not what has to happen!?
    Where or who is the best place to take it to in Sussex for repair?
    Thanks

    Depends on what type it is as usually they have a seal of some type, usually O rings fitted to moving joints.

    Sometimes you can remove the fitting and take the tower out and remove the seals and refit new ones, at other times it is the top off the pump and everything falls out and you are stuffed.
    I am old and wise because i was young and stupid.

    Haha..yeah, anything involving a spring I leave alone. I'll get down there asap and see if it's got any markings on it and see if I can figure out how to add pics on here👍

    That being the case I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole but take it to a specialist. I had a look at how much one would set me back if ever I needed to replace and had kittens

    Yeah I wouldn't imagine they are cheap! We used to be a dive club and the chap who sorted the boat was a diesel fitter by trade and he did take it off once when it sprung a leak but took it to a specialist. I just want to know if they come off fairly straightforward!? If I can get it off I'll take it somewhere..
    I moved house today and the other half is quite keen for me NOT to go down the boat tomorrow..
