    Default Switch wiring connections

I am replacing some of the existing on/off switches with more modern illuminated on/off switches. The replacement switches have 5 colour coded wires; does anyone know how to wire these switches? thanks in advance.

It has NO and NC contacts so three wires will be for the switch itself......... easily identify those with your multimeter.

One wire will be the negative connection for the LED and the final one will be the LED positive which you connect according to how you want the LED to operate.

If you are lucky the contact details will be marked on the darker blue plastic bit. The bit with the wires will(darned well should) unplug.

    see the images here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Waterproof-16-12mm-12V-Car-LED-Power-Push-Button-Momentary-Switch-Metal-ON-
at least the LED is marked with + and -
