Didn't influence our decision - we believe the previous potential purchaser got cold feet over some acknowledged engine issues - but I can well imagine some buyers thinking "what did he find, why did he pull out?"

Mmm, wouldn't me either provided my Surveyor said everything's good.

Rotrax, tis a fair point, I don't actually have any 'connections' as such that way (that I don't pay for ). I appreciate not many people are a fan of surveys and to be honest I do agree, if you know something about boats, you probably don't need a surveyor. Clearly some of you are far more experienced and have been buying boats for years, I don't have that familiarity though I am looking into DIY boat surveys (it's a good idea to get familiar I guess ).
