Some of you may know or know of Peter Potter who died last week, having lived in Elmstead Market. This seems to be an appropriate day to honour him. I was introduced to him by a friend and met him a few times. He flew 33 missions as a Lancaster tail-gunner in the War and was keen to talk about it. He was very good company, as was his wife. He also wrote a book - - which tells of his slightly wild life as a young man, but with only one chapter about the war.
