According to the news it traversed the Atlantic from Surinam on the latitude of the cape verses then headed up to the rias,a one way trip at a cost of a million euros and a cargo of three tonnes of pure cocaine, worth quite a bit, must of had a tip off

I doubt these reports are credible.
The sub is about 20m long, I would be surprised if it had the tankage and stowage for such a voyage. What would be its cruising speed under water? 5-6 knots?
I’d like to hear from our local submariners here.

Not a true submarine but a low profile boat. Looks big enough to make a crossing to Cape Verde’s and then north to the Rias when you bear in mind it’s a pretty simple design and therefore has space for a comparatively small payload and loads of fuel. However, might it have had a “mother vessel” to tow it part of the way?
