Re: Closed eyes and minds.
The dinghy is obviously motor sailing and as the jetski is approaching from forward of the starboard beam the dinghy should give way and pass round the jetskis stern. In reality, by the time the dinghy has answered a helm over to turn to starboard the jetski will be 300 miles away somewhere to port.

Good stab, but the jetski circled him a couple of times and came into shore with a swerve, soaking his family who were all sat at the water's edge.
still, we can dream............

Re: Closed eyes and minds.
Well its a Bombardier Sea-Doo XP, manufacturered before 1998 (not sure exact age) and its not displaying its Datatag numbers.
However with old PWCs like this they are sold second hand through local ads and can be a real pain as the people who purchase them think they are soft toys.
But as the photo shows, the PWC's course, speed and direction all seem to suggest there shouldn't be any problem (apart from it going above 10 knots).
Pitty you don't have a photo of water being thown over the family on the beach, who must have been almost getting their feet wet, and likewise I am surprised this PWC user wasn't sucking stones up as the water must have been very shallow.

Ah Ha, not on the lake it's on tidal water at Arnside.
The family were at the water's edge, and the shore is mud until the tidal bore covers it up.
I too wish I had got a shot of it.
Do you think it's Posh and Becks?
