Has anyone installed, or have installed, one of these?
Friend with a small boat is fed up playing with his tabs and power trim and thinks it may be the answer.
Particularily looking at the Menthe Marine product - full info can be found http://nzmarinespares.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page21.html

Re: attitude control systems - and their place in small boats
As far as I'm concerned, if we have anyone on board with attitude, they can sod off and swim home.
The nicest thing about not planning is that failure comes as a complete surprise, and is not preceded by a period of worry and doubt.

Re: attitude control systems - and their place in small boats
My Sprint was fitted with Bennett tabs so I fitted their Auto Tab system -it works a treat. Doesn't affect the leg trim so you still need to do that manually but takes away all the work of continually trimming the tabs. Very pleased with it indeed.

Is that a similar thing ? ie you manually set the attitude of the boat you want then swithc to auto and the unit controls the tabs to maintain the selected boat attitude?

Sound's like it, trim the boat how you want it, set that attitude in the memory and then she will auto-trim back to that attitude whenever the trim changes.

Re: attitude control systems - and their place in small boats
I installed the Mente marine ACS A+ product on our S23 as the trim needed constant adjustment. Works a treat. We've got Eltrim tabs(electric) on the S23 and I also wired in the outdrive trim.
Only issue was that the Eltrim's need to be positioned mid-position before you calibrate the unit.
I ordered direct from Mente's http://www.mente-marine.com/english/product.html and I got the impression I was first customer in UK. You may be number 2?
(no connection to Mente etc etc)
