. . . and final visual check round engine after starting. (No liquids on outside that should be inside, no bits wobbling/falling off that should be fixed on tight etc). And check manifold headers feel warm but not too hot so cooling water OK.
Nothing is foolproof because the ingenuity of fools is limitless.

check the props are clear of obstructions

And one for the non marina folks...........double check, then check again that your link line is outside your stanchions before casting off. (even though you only untie the link line from the mooring lines on average 1 or 2 times a year and triple check it when you retie it [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img])
