Thanks Mick,
I see you are in Ireland, I acquired my affection for the sea In Ireland

It's where I grew up. My dad had a trawler based there. I spent almost every hour of every summer sculling around the harbour when I was a lad.
Cheers

Re: My First Boat Owning Year (So Far)
Westies are Thee boat dog it appears.
My friend Andys westie was always at home on my boat, then Boatone saw Andy's westie and got one too, his is called Bosun and is very happy on the boat. Other "boating" westies belonging to Forumites are hlb's and Nick2's. unless I am corrected.
They seem very much at home on a boat (unlike my timid Dachies)

You got there before me - yes Ballycotton it is and a great spot it is too. I get down there every year for a wander about and a bite to eat. Bliss

If you interested in spreading your wings further but with the company of other Mobos contact me. I (for my sins) am on the committee at Chichester Yacht Club and we do lots of cruises in company from Bembridge / Port Solent on the short side to the West of Brittany if you feeling up for a 2 week trip.Scaramoosh, Scaramoosh successor to Phandango (with apologies to Queen)
