Old boat report says they were introduced in 1988 at the Earls Court Boat Show, as the flagship of Picton Boats. Roger Clark Marine was the original designer or manufacturer, then Spirit International took them over.

    The Spirit 3000 is 31ft 8in, 10ft 9in beam and 2ft 10in draught.
She has 8 berths. A converting small dinette forward (Double) a converting larger dinette in the main saloon (double) and a separate short companion way down the centre towards the stern where there is a double bunk on each side.

Its a very handy layout, which you will either love or hate.

Mine has two volvo penta diesels. (131 hp each) She weighs 3.25 tons and holds 170 gallons of fuel.

The boat report says "the conditions on the test day were not conducive to the fun and sun layout, but the boat gave an excellent account of itself, sea-keeping and general performance could not be faulted."

    Good enough for me !!

I think Picton only make Ribs now.
