Think you will find Largs very full, however here at Troon I guess there may be space depending on LOA. Better placed than most for travel from the south. 10mins from Prestwick and Ryanairs 1p deals or 40mins from Glasgow airport via the train.
15miles to Arran from Troon, a normal day sail for me, 3 hours out, a couple of pints ashore then 3 hours back........perfect. If you need more info PM me.

You could drive but I don't think they have built motorways north of the border yet have they? Or have they just built the southbound carriageway?

[/ QUOTE ]Just so long as the wee twerp is buying the beer and whiskey and keeps his boat tied up to the pontoon - can't have any more congestion in the Clyde - it's getting as bad as the Solent these days.

[/ QUOTE ]That's why we are all so good at night navigation up these parts - the "nights" are 6 months long..........

I am surprised the 50% berthing surcharge levied on "foreign" boats hasn't put more of the sassenachs off. Maybe they have not realised yet. Still it is nice of them to subsidise our berthing.........

I'm trying to discourage all those southerners from coming and cluttering the place up. Unless, of course, they have boats that need upholstering!
