    Default Most certainly ...

You have my admiration and envy !

I sadly knew a guy who renovated a 1900's Gaff-rigged Pilot Boat at Havant. The boat had history of service in West Country and then later was used at Dunkirk. A Dunkirk Little Ship Certificate etc. The condition was not as bad as yours and was salvagable with use of West Epoxy and light mat. The guy spent ages at it ... replacing frames, glassing up the hull etc.
It was literally just days before the launch and a boat next to his was set on fire by a "local-known" hooligan. That fire destroyed more than 5 boats in the yard ... with the Dunkirk job above seriously damaged. Myself and another surveyor assessed the overall damage and the remarkable thing is that the GRP "covering" that he had glassed onto the hull probably did more to save it than anything else.
He spent the next months near a year again stripping the lay-up and applying new. The first lay-up in fact had been affected by the heat such that it was possible to "peel" it away from the hull timber.
Even though Police and many of us knew who had done this - it never went to court ... insufficient proof.

Anyway ........ a beautiful ending to a lot of hard work ...

It works for me too! I could watch and listen over and over and over again - and still marvel at the level of skill and sheer work involved.
Faster, faster! Until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of crashing.
