    Default Real Club Nautico, Palma

Is this the best marina to keep your boat in/around Palma? Is it safe? Any horror stories?

    Many thanks.

I keep my boat in Club de Mar just a few hundred metres away from Club Nautico. I did take a look at Club Nautico before berthing at Club de Mar but at the time Club Nautico had no berths
Club Nautico is one of the oldest and most established marinas in Majorca. It has a fine clubhouse and is conveniently close to Palma old town for restaurants and other facilities. When I visited though, there was a lot of traffic in and out of the marina and few parking spaces and that was out of season so I dont know what its like in Jul/Aug so best check whether the berth you are considering has allocated parking because there's no safe long term parking outside the marina AFAIK
The only other possible issue is swell. There's a lot of boat traffic in the harbour and the it's open to the south so sometimes you get a modest swell but its not all the berths in Palma that feel it. I dont get it in my berth in Club de Mar but other berths do so again worth checking for your berth
Other than that, Palma is an excellent place to berth a boat with its close proximity to the airport, first rate boating facilities and many anchorages within easy day boating reach

Thanks, yes clubhouse something to behold after the experience of some French marinas. Car parking looks like a bunfight even now. Very little to stop anyone walking in, as long as the burglar concerned looks like a yachtie! Some swell here now and again, and I should be well sheltered where I am.

Yes, magnum got unfairly done for a few '000 by the Guardia Civil for apparently speeding in Palma harbour but that had nothing to do with the Club Nautico
