Default Sadly Vreny won\'t be coming to the Pirate weekend

After much discussion we've decided that bringing Vreny to Stone Point is going to be toooo tricky. I anticipate much discussion tonight about how we can make it for Saturday night by some other means. Hopefully see you all Saturday.

We ar leaving Bradwell late tomorrow afternoon and arriving when we do. Back Sunday when the tides suit. Could offer 2 saloon berths and maybe more. Let me know if any use.

Thanks Alan. Have had similar offer from Full Circle, I love the East Coast Forum. The tricky bit is figuring out where AJ sleeps as we use a hammock on Vreny but need somewhere to hang it from. Other sleep options are buggy or travel cot but I think both would be too big (maybe buggy could work?) Or padding out an area for him... unfortunately he's just started to be a little more mobile and so needs to be constrained a little. Not really happy with him in a car seat overnight as he's only meant to be in that for a couple of hours at a time. Will have a chat with Patrick tonight and maybe measure up the buggy etc.

We are leaving Bridgemarsh mid-morning at HW, arriving Pye End near LW - doesn't that work for you?

More concerned about the journey back, 15 - 20 knots, wind against tide, it's a long old journey if AJ decides he's not happy. Also we'd kind of agreed not to do long sails on consecutive days, and were going to set off tomorrow, but forecast looking pretty wet. To be honest it is doable, but not like fun with the little one. Long old motor up, tricky managing him on the beach and transferring him back late Saturday night, then potentially iffy sail back. We decided there was too much hard work involved with no opportunity for sleep/sanity catch up. We'll be making every effort to find a way to be there for Sat afternoon/evening though.

Yes, we all love those delightful wind-against-tide trips down the Wallet! We are staying till monday, but i'm not too sure it will be better then. I think I'd have made the same choice if I had a baby!

Have managed at late notice to secure a weekend pass, but not Mrs Jomo. I wasn't thinking of taking Wild Otter at the last minute, but if you fancy it, we could make a joint trip. Plenty of room, and some fairly secure places from which to hang children.... oops, I mean hammocks

I should be aboard latish Friday, back in port sunday. Levington. Any good?

Ian

Seems we're not the only ones who have had plans changed
In the last 24 hours we have been go/no go, so often you wouldn't believe it, currently still a go but it's going to be high speed driving from here to Norwich before we can head South
