Can the control box be mounted facing backwords? is there an option to set this up so it reverses the direction setting that we would be travelling?

Mines facing to the rear and seems to work OK. Very convenient as it faces the wheel and you just have to bend down to push a button etc.

When you say facing backwards Leer, do you mean the fascia with controls facing the stern? Mine's facing the stern, (fascia)mounted on the bridge deck bulkhead, which I guess is the normal method of mounting. In this position it works fine.

Might be wrong, but the flux-gate compass should always track Magnetic North anyway, so really should make no difference. That's got me thinking though, I'll be back...

i mean if i was looking to the front of the boat i would have to turn round and look at the bk of the boat where it is mounted.
