Anyone have one of these US boats or come across them?

Have a mate considering purchasing a 30 footer and just wondered what the build quality etc was like?

Yeah, all dating from the 80s and early 90s. Think its about time Pascoe updated is site, its totally out of date now.

The modern cruisers are ok. Bit flat bottomed for serious coastal stuff but so long as you know about it most will only go out in fair weather anyway so it isnt a problem.

By the way, a friend has a very nice example, a 300 with twin D3s, on with Essex Boatyards at the mo for sensible money.

Still worth a trawl through if you are thinking of buying a secondhand US boat from that era and to many folks a boat from the 1990s is a fairly new piece of kit.

They appear to be a reasonably popular US import out here, while not in huge numbers, I haven't heard any bad press.

Delivered two and also run training courses on them. they are very American in stylig with curtains below to seperate sleeping areas etc . seems an OK boat for a couple. Must say very quick. most equipment same as the rest steering D series Engines from Volvo OK boat.

I had a 340 and now a 420. Quality is on the high side. I was amazed with the sea worthiness. Very nice riding, even in small sized ones. I would definately suggest it. I agree that the finish is all American, but robust

I have looked at them and like them. They seem good quality with decent layouts (for US Boats)

Would put them in similar league to Rinker, and the newer ones as good as Monterey.

Problem is resale if you do not live near Glasgow! Not many here in the south Med, Monterey seem to have it sawn up.

Definitely worth considering.

They are imported by Prosser marine in Glasgow. I have had a look a couple of times, and they seem well built and finished. Good spec, but not cheap.

Thanks for all the information and advice - as always the forum has come up trumps with some useful advice. Have passed all on to my mate who has already paid a deposit it seems for a 300.

I will feedback my thoughts after he takes delivery for those interested.

we have some old Cruisers here locally from the early 90s
and altough medium vee aft they are pretty sea worthy competing with the Brits mostly for there more weight
dont let a flat vee aft think it is a bad boat, the best Flines wer 15 deg aft, the Olenski design from the 80s....
