Having been ensconced in the delightful borough of Lowestoft for the last few days, because of the bleedin fog (entered Lowestoft with 10m viz!!!) while everyone more than 100yds inland enjoyed a heatwave, I thought sod it and gave up going to Wells and thought lets head back to Harwich and see if I can meet a few forum members I haven't met before at the pirate weekend.
It wasn't all bad in Lowestoft, the RNSYC is a fine place to stay and Mrs Wherry drove across from Norwich and we had a nice, no superb dinner at the Dukes Head at Somerleyton - highly recommended.
Enjoyed a nice sail down from Lowestoft to Shotley today and will now be heading round to the Backwaters Friday ready to carbonise some bangers!!!
