Hi

I finished my Golant Gaffer in 2006. Lovely boat to sail as well.
(Though I enjoyed building her, I'm glad not to be mixing up epoxy every weekend now)

Where are you based / going to sail her?

How far have you got?

Send me a pm if you'd like to talk some more.

Regards Paul

Default Lurianna

I'm the proud owner of GG30 "Lurianna". Some photos can be seen at:

Some posts from me (as GGFan) in the woodenboat forum deal with this (in my eyes) marvelous design. She sails very well, even to windward, and is quite stiff, no reef necessary up to the end of a force 4. After 4 seasons I'm still very happy with Lurianna.
Jollydodger, if you need further informations or if you would like to see some pics of the building process, please send me a pm.
Kind regards, Helmuth

I came across a Golant Gaffer a few years on the web and was very taken with it. It started me looking at boat building and what was available which led on to starting building a Highlander 18 last winter.

I am really enjoying the process, although the novelty of mixing resin has started to wear off, and it is in the back of my mind that the next project may be a Golant Gaffer, or a Riva replica, or a..............

Hope the build goes well and post a photo or two every know and agin.
