Hi
Perennial post - I placed almost the same 6 months ago. Since then, been gathering data. First, even in Turkey, you get what you pay for - cheap prices either have hidden extras or the wood is not what you want etc - Iroko instead of teak etc. Second, €700/M2 is a top end price - for this budget you can go anywhere & be reasonably sure of a good job. Thirdly, there will be no substitute to being there (periodically) while the work is being done - are you sure you want all the deck fittings back in exactly the same place and no new fittings etc?

Frankly, the best yard is probably the one nearest you and/or where you can supervise & inspect WIP. Good quality work can be found all round the coast so not worth moving far in search of a better price.

I have plumped for Orion Yachts in Gocek - seen their work; can (reasonably) easily supervise etc etc. Cost nearer to €600/M2 but this includes rubbing strakes etc etc. A close toss between them and Yat Lift in Bodrum who have been well recommended on this site and in Turkey.

To compare, the same work in Thailand would cost 30 -50% of the Turkish price - so if you want a real bargain.........

PM me for copies of my quotes etc if you are interested.
