Default Bookmarking a thread

How do I bookmark a thread so I can refer back to it in the future? I used to do it with 'favourites' on the old forums but all I can find now is to use a browser bookmark.

Above the thread: Thread tools > Subscribe to this thread.

To find it again: Up the top: Quick Links > Subscribed threads

You'll automatically be subscribed to threads you post in. You can unsubscribe too.

Thanks. I thought that meant getting emails when someone posted on the thread.

On trying it, I find that every thread I've contributed to is included in my list of subscribed threads. Back to the drawing board.

Snowleopard, it does that automatically - if you post you are ipso facto subscribed, so you can go back and find which ones you posted in

I'm obviously too verbose. My subscription list has 485 threads. Easier than searching the whole forum I suppose.

I hear what snowleopard is saying. Your own threads are visible on the profile page. It would be nice to have "my favourite threads" .

You can choose not to automatically be subscribed to threads in which you post (Options, Default Thread Subscription Mode) and then just subscribe to individual threads that you want to track.

Whatever the default, you can opt whether to subscribe to a thread in which you post (Thread Subscription - below the reply box).

You can unsubscribe to any or all of your subscribed threads.

And, as I said earlier, you can subscribe to a thread in which you haven't posted.

Seems pretty comprehensive to me. (I haven't tested all these options.)

Dave
