you dont need back flaps you need counter tops or bar tops ..still need cutting in tho

Default Flap hinge

When building my chart table, I used two flap hinges so that it would lift over-centre and stay open.
The attached photo shows them inset into the table ; careful chiselling is needed around the dovetails
