Default refit

hi there 1 and all,
am just about to start refit on the boat for the run,
so why chainplates and not just larger backing plates?
how much water did the guys use last time, or the run this year?
power what are the size of battiers used and with what kit on, and what charging was done by what?

Obviously it depends on your boats configuration, but chainplates through bolted to a bulkhead will give a much wider spread of the load then just putting some larger backing plates in will do. However this could be inpossible in some boats due to where the shrouds come down to deck level.
